Precision Rifle Basics - 2 day
Join us at Intrepid Defense where we cover some of the basics of precision shooting. In this course we will be going over everything from setting up a gun from out of the box and getting it zeroed, to engaging targets out to 700 yards. The intent is to learn the fundamentals; whether you have never shot a rifle before or you have been shooting for years and you want to hone your skills. After this course you will understand your gear (rifle, ammunition, optic, bipods, tripods, etc.) and how to employ it. You will also have a basic understanding of Ballistics (internal, external, and terminal).
This course will cover various topics such as:

Understanding your equipment (rifle/optic/bipods/tripods/chrono)

Understanding your round and how it travels (internal and external ballistics), environmental impacts on precision shooting, MV and how it affects your round

Understanding how to read and interpret wind

Calling your shot and observing splash

Making corrections and re-engaging targets

Shooting fundamentals (body position, head position, trigger press)

Other Instructions: Please bring all information that you have on your ammo and optics. Please do not bring a zip-lock bag with 10 different brands and lots of ammo. If that is all you can get that is fine but understand that you will not be setting yourself up for success.
